The presence of Extra-terrestrial civilizations on and around Earth has been publicly attested by hundreds of credible first-hand witnesses, including military personnel, astronauts and civil aviation pilots.
This is a fallacy. These witnesses must show some concrete evidence. Hundreds of credible witnesses a In the demand of Disclosure to the White House, we will find several fallacies at work. Of course, the petition is only effective to keep the myth of the Cover-Up alive, that means it’s directed to the believers in the ET=UFO hypothesis and not to the government.

The petitioners presumably know already what must be disclosed, so they are asking for a disclosure already disclosed. The government apparently knows also what’s under closure.

However, the solicitants do not have any clear evidence of the presumed extraterrestrial presence in our planet. If this is so, they should ask IF there are extraterrestrials here or in any other part of the Universe.

The assumption that the government knows about ET visitors and keeps the secret, is given as a self-evident fact, and this is not so. Consequently, these ufologists know perfectly well that the government will not give an answer to the petition. In more than sixty years we have no disclosure and no evidences. We have only words and these words only defer, postpone the impossible disclosure with new words. ETs are text, not fact, no presence.

A priori, this lack of answer will be presented to the public as a denial of recognition but never as ignorance.

So, the mythologists will buy time and insist in the presumed cover-up as a fact. The negative answer becomes positive for them because they will have something to talk about and to write.

For them, the conspiracy theory is the only answer to the silence of the authorities.

It is not true that “Hundreds of military and government agency witnesses have come forward with testimony confirming this extraterrestrial presence. Opinion polls now indicate more than 50% of the American people believe there is an extraterrestrial presence and more than 80% believe the government is not telling the truth about this phenomenon. “

This fallacy is called argumentum ad populum. The argumentum ad populum appeals to popular attitudes instead of presenting relevant material. In other words is based on prejudice. Frequently, these tricky polls ask the public if they believe in Unidentified Flying Objects and of course they believe in UFOs but UFOs are identified 95 % of the times as natural phenomena or human artifacts.

That’s why the word used is “believe”. In Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass the White Queen says, "Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." This is often quoted in mockery of the common ability of people to entertain beliefs contrary to fact.

Also, the disclosure petition incurs in the fallacy called poisoning the well, and creates unnecessary discredit, because it doesn’t consider the denial of extraterrestrial presence as a valid alternative.

The Disclosure myth is psychological manipulation of the worst kind.

 Psychological manipulation is a type of social influence that aims to change the perception or behavior of others through underhanded, deceptive, or even abusive tactics.

 By advancing the interests of the manipulator, often at another's expense, such methods could be considered exploitative, abusive, devious and deceptive. Depending on the context and motivations, social influence may constitute underhanded manipulation.

 One of the manipulators’ methods is the creation of expectations in the public. This, by the way, is one of the practices of the stage hypnotists and the illusionists.

In religious indoctrination, the perpetual waiting for the second coming of Christ or the Messiah is a good example of this technique of mind control.

Day after day, the ET-UFO professionals insist in their fallacy: the Disclosure is Imminent. For some reason a few people believes in this “promise” and will go on financing the new priests of the technological religion of the Aliens and UFOs.

But this means not only a marketing method but a dishonest manipulation. People waiting for the disclosure become anxious and in many cases loss interest in their daily life and work and the constant waiting becomes destructive and negative. 

This is truly serious because nobody has the right to use other people’s anxiety and hopes in his own benefit.

Searching for ET, But No Evidence Yet

Thank you for signing the petition asking the Obama Administration to acknowledge an extraterrestrial presence here on Earth.

The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race. In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public's eye.

However, that doesn't mean the subject of life outside our planet isn't being discussed or explored. In fact, there are a number of projects working toward the goal of understanding if life can or does exist off Earth. Here are a few examples:

SETI—the Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence—was originally stood up with help from NASA, but has since been moved to other sources of private funding. SETI's main purpose is to act as a giant ear on behalf of the human race, pointing an array of ground-based telescopes towards space to listen for any signal from another world.

Kepler is a NASA spacecraft in orbit that's main goal is to search for Earth-like planets. Such a planet would be located in the "Goldilocks" zone of a distant solar system—not too hot and not too cold—and could potentially be habitable by life as we know it. The Kepler mission is specifically designed to survey our region of the Milky Way galaxy to discover Earth-sized, rocky planets in or near the habitable zone of the star (sun) they orbit.

The Mars Science Laboratory, Curiosity, is an automobile-sized rover that NASA is launching soon. The rover's onboard laboratory will study rocks, soils, and other geology in an effort to detect the chemical building blocks of life (e.g., forms of carbon) on Mars and will assess what the Martian environment was like in the past to see if it could have harbored life.

A last point: Many scientists and mathematicians have looked with a statistical mindset at the question of whether life likely exists beyond Earth and have come to the conclusion that the odds are pretty high that somewhere among the trillions and trillions of stars in the universe there is a planet other than ours that is home to life.

Many have also noted, however, that the odds of us making contact with any of them—especially any intelligent ones—are extremely small, given the distances involved.

But that's all statistics and speculation. The fact is we have no credible evidence of extraterrestrial presence here on Earth.

But the ET mythology is in total crisis.

UFO-Extraterrestrials Mythology is an industry and needs to protect its markets as any business does. For that reason, lack of evidences is mostly solved by the conspiracy theories.

However, there are certain rules even for imaginary conspiracies. Apparently, the biggest conspiracies produce more justifications to the nonsense rhetoric.

For example, let us see how the ET fantasists work with the conspiracy theories. The idea is that extraterrestrials are here, but most of the world’s governments and the whole scientific establishment conspire to deny the ET presence to the public. Now this is very useful for the exo-fantasists, because anyone making questions or demanding evidences is characterized as an agent provocateur working for the big cover-up.

For those who pretend those extraterrestrial civilizations are present in our world and in contact with governments, there are no legitimate questions, doubts or different points of view. On the contrary, all those questioning exofantasists definitions of reality are condemned as sinister operatives or called ignorants.

Obviously the conspiracy theories protect the markets and keep the believers passive, but there are some problems about this. In a society where there are no secrets and the Italian philosopher Gianni Vattimo called the Transparent Society, nobody can guarantee that the presence of ETs can be kept secret. At least this is not possible through the regular systems of information control.

Consequently, the imaginary conspiracy must have supernatural elements. The cabal is pyramidal and the big controllers are practically supernatural, and here is when religious fantasies are helpful. In the end, Lucifer will be the conspiracy big chief.

As a result of all these inventions, it is more and more impossible to pretend to be Scientists, and the ET mythologists become paranoid mystics. (This will also affect the intellectual composition of the believers’ groups.)

The ufologists’ narrative will become primitive and absurd, and intelligent people interested in the UFO phenomenon will be repealed by such paranoid and pseudo-religious garbage.

This situation puts the “ET experts” in a difficult situation: they are forced to re-invent the ET visitors every day, and also to keep their conspiracy memes alive and credible.

Something else: The discredited whistle-blowers can be protected for some time by the omnipotent cover-up, but not forever. Governments are worried only about true whistle-blowers, and these have nothing to do with the paranormal “revelations”.

 UFO self proclaimed experts tell the public that the disclosure is imminent but sixty years of “imminence” is too much, don’t you think?

Rational individuals understand the obvious: there is no disclosure simply because there is nothing to disclose.

Selling the UFO-ET-CONSPIRACY mythology was easier in the 50’s and 60’s, but now perhaps it’s time to change the show.
