The world of ETH believers and "infidels".

Perhaps you believe that there are some extraterrestrial civilizations here, in our planet, visiting us or protecting us from self-destruction, or controlling us. Perhaps you think that there are good and bad aliens, something like angels and demons. Bad aliens (or perhaps even the good ones) conspire with the government to keep their presence secret and this is walled the cover up. If the government and the whole scientific establishment find that it’s time to tell the truth, they will show these aliens and this opening is called disclosure.

This idea is basically called the ETH. (Extraterrestrial hypothesis) though the definition of hypothesis is  a supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation, but some experts in the UFO phenomenon just give the extraterrestrial existence and presence as a fact.

Of course you are free to believe that ETs exist or that the ETH is a strong possibility. You have the perfect right to believe what you want or what you think is true.

The problem comes when somebody with the same rights you have, says that he/she doesn’t believe in the ETH, and that there are not clear and undeniable evidences that confirm the presence of Extraterrestrial civilizations on our planet.
You will perhaps be surprised by the reaction of the experts in ETs, cover-ups and conspiracy theories.
They will react violently and call the non-believer a paid debunker, psy-op, black operative, government agent, stupid, ignorant and who knows what else.
It’s possible that you will find this brutal reaction excessive. What’s going on here? Why criminalize those who just think differently?

Let me suggest you an answer for your question: They are protecting their business. Money is the problem. They want to SELL books, desert meetings (UFO tourism.) lectures, congresses, you name it…
These self-proclaimed experts in UFOs, ETs, Aliens, Conspiracies, Disclosure and pseudo-sciences make a living with this mythology. Some of them are also are into a big ego trip.

They believe in what sells well.

Perhaps you agree with what I say, or perhaps you don’t, but there is nothing wrong with having different beliefs. The real problem comes when the “expert” writes a book that sells well, even if this same book has nothing to do with TRUTH.

POP Culture and the invention of the ET mythology

The POP (popular) culture is often viewed as being trivial in order to find consensual acceptance throughout the mainstream, but its power cannot be dismissed.
The so called Roswell incident is an excellent example of pop culture at work.

In the late 1940s, the USAF ran Project Mogul, a top secret attempt to detect sound waves from potential Soviet nuclear explosions using microphones flown by high-altitude balloons. On July 7, 1947 Mogul Flight #4 crashed on a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico. A rancher found the debris field and brought some of the debris to the nearby air base. The public information officer at Roswell Army Air Field made a press release reporting that a crashed "flying disc" has been recovered. The press went nuts, cementing the meme of the "flying saucer" in the public's consciousness. After the sensation hit the headlines, the officer was reprimanded, and new information was announced: the wreckage was from a weather balloon. Years after the fact, the story got embellished and mutated into different versions, becoming the archetypal "crashed saucer" myth, complete with recovered alien corpses (or live aliens!) and a government cover-up.

What we truly know is that the Roswell Incident was a money-making machine for UFO fantasists and the tabloid industry. After Stanton Friedman wrote his book about Roswell, the supermarket tabloids took charge and Roswell was one of the POP culture memes.
The urban legend of the ET presence on our planet, the cover-up and eventual disclosure was reinforced by Steven Spielberg who in 1977 and 1982, made the movies (Close Encounters of the Third Kind and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial) with "good" aliens and "bad" federal agencies. These movies tapped into the new mythology and made enormous amounts of money.

UFO fantasists saw the $ sign, wrote books, invented UFO congresses, desert meetings, pseudo-sciences and pushed the extraterrestrial visitors legend to the limits of non-sense.
However, Ufology was absolutely human-made, so there was nothing new. The old myths were reinvented, and the self-proclaimed experts became esoterics and mystics. The extraterrestrial super-science was now “cosmic alchemy”, and the ETs angels or demons or both.
There was nothing more to say about all this big fantasy and when this happens, the show cannot go on.

The new "petition of disclosure": a pathetic fairy tale for "adults"

My answer to this new “petition of disclosure “ in bold-italic.

The presence of Extra-terrestrial civilizations on and around Earth has been publicly attested by hundreds of credible first-hand witnesses, including military personnel, astronauts and civil aviation pilots.
This is a fallacy. These witnesses must show some concrete evidence. Hundreds of credible witnesses a In the demand of Disclosure to the White House, we will find several fallacies at work. Of course, the petition is only effective to keep the myth of the Cover-Up alive, that means it’s directed to the believers in the ET=UFO hypothesis and not to the government.
The petitioners presumably know already what must be disclosed, so they are asking for a disclosure already disclosed. The government apparently knows also what’s under closure.
However, the solicitants do not have any clear evidence of the presumed extraterrestrial presence in our planet. If this is so, they should ask IF there are extraterrestrials here or in any other part of the Universe.
The assumption that the government knows about ET visitors and keeps the secret, is given as a self-evident fact, and this is not so. Consequently, these ufologists know perfectly well that the government will not give an answer to the petition. In more than sixty years we have no disclosure and no evidences. We have only words and these words only defer, postpone the impossible disclosure with new words. ETs are text, not fact, no presence.
A priori, this lack of answer will be presented to the public as a denial of recognition but never as ignorance.
So, the mythologists will buy time and insist in the presumed cover-up as a fact. The negative answer becomes positive for them because they will have something to talk about and to write.
For them, the conspiracy theory is the only answer to the silence of the authorities.
It is not true that “Hundreds of military and government agency witnesses have come forward with testimony confirming this extraterrestrial presence. Opinion polls now indicate more than 50% of the American people believe there is an extraterrestrial presence and more than 80% believe the government is not telling the truth about this phenomenon. “
This fallacy is called argumentum ad populum. The argumentum ad populum appeals to popular attitudes instead of presenting relevant material. In other words is based on prejudice. Frequently, these tricky polls ask the public if they believe in Unidentified Flying Objects and of course they believe in UFOs but UFOs are identified 95 % of the times as natural phenomena or human artifacts.
That’s why the word used is “believe”. In Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass the White Queen says, "Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." This is often quoted in mockery of the common ability of people to entertain beliefs contrary to fact.
Also, the disclosure petition incurs in the fallacy called poisoning the well, and creates unnecessary discredit, because it doesn’t consider the denial of extraterrestrial presence as a valid alternative.

“It has also been the subject of a global cover-up for more than 60 years, according to testimony from such witnesses, made public through Dr Steven Greer's Disclosure Project and recent documentary, Sirius, as well as through the Citizens' Hearing on Disclosure that took place at the National Press Club in Washington DC in April-May of 2013”

Dr Greer’s film “Sirius” is a complete failure. His “alien corpse” is a hoax.

As usual, the EXO mythologists are wrong. After all it's not easy to invent extraterrestrials visiting our good old Earth. (some people make a living selling these fantasies.)

DNA tests on six-inch skeleton of 'alien-looking' creature with over-sized head prove it was actually human claim scientists. 10 years ago the bones of a six-inch skeleton with a large head were found in Chile
There was speculation that the Atacama humanoid, nicknamed Ata, was either an aborted fetus, a monkey or even an alien
Now scientists at Stanford University have carried out conclusive DNA tests which have found the remains are those of a mutated human
"I can say with absolute certainty that it is not a monkey. It is human -- closer to human than chimpanzees. It lived to the age of six to eight. Obviously, it was breathing, it was eating, it was metabolizing. It calls into question how big the thing might have been when it was born,"said Garry Nolan, director of stem cell biology at Stanford University's School of Medicine in California.

SIRIUS, the movie about the Alien that was not alien as usual, is a giant publicity machine to spout ridiculous ideas.
Here is Robert Sheaffer’s review:
Bad UFOs: Skepticism, UFOs, and The Universe: Greer’s “Sirius” Documentary – no “Bombshell,” just Nonstop UFO Claims.
As we noted before, it’s a buffet of wild claims.
“no halfway intelligent person will be swayed by this film”

“This cover-up, using media disinformation and hoaxes, has kept humanity from open contact with highly-advanced benevolent galactic citizens, capable of interstellar travel faster than the speed of light. In doing so, world leaders have deprived this planet of advanced propulsion and energy technologies that could have completely transformed human civilization by now, to a level of global well-being, connectedness, and environmental health few have yet even dreamed of.”

Of course you must show some evidence concerning this, but you haven’t any.
The Disclosure myth is psychological manipulation of the worst kind.
Psychological manipulation is a type of social influence that aims to change the perception or behavior of others through underhanded, deceptive, or even abusive tactics.
By advancing the interests of the manipulator, often at another's expense, such methods could be considered exploitative, abusive, devious and deceptive. Depending on the context and motivations, social influence may constitute underhanded manipulation.
One of the manipulators’ methods is the creation of expectations in the public. This, by the way, is one of the practices of the stage hypnotists and the illusionists.
In religious indoctrination, the perpetual waiting for the second coming of Christ or the Messiah is a good example of this technique of mind control.
Day after day, the ET-UFO professionals insist in their fallacy: the Disclosure is Imminent. For some reason a few people believes in this “promise” and will go on financing the new priests of the technological religion of the Aliens and UFOs.
But this means not only a marketing method but a dishonest manipulation. People waiting for the disclosure become anxious and in many cases loss interest in their daily life and work and the constant waiting becomes destructive and negative.
This is truly serious because nobody has the right to use other people’s anxiety and hopes in his own benefit.
“Our planet can only head into deeper crisis under the control of a military-industrial complex and fossil fuel corporations that pull the strings of government to delay alternatives that would see their power crumble, along with a cabal of vested interests.

The open acknowledgement of advanced extra-terrestrial peoples by Earth's governments is the step needed to begin the next chapter for humanity and our planet.

Let's take a stand for compassion and freedom NOW, and call on the United Nations and all world governments to step up, acknowledge the truth of benevolent ET contact with Earth, and start engaging openly with our galactic neighbors to heal our world.”

Lies after lies. Selling fiction as fact.
This is the answer to the cover up-disclosure myth.
OFFICIAL WHITE HOUSE RESPONSE TO formally acknowledge an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race - Disclosure. and 1 other petition

Searching for ET, But No Evidence Yet
By Phil Larson
Thank you for signing the petition asking the Obama Administration to acknowledge an extraterrestrial presence here on Earth.
The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race. In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public's eye.
However, that doesn't mean the subject of life outside our planet isn't being discussed or explored. In fact, there are a number of projects working toward the goal of understanding if life can or does exist off Earth. Here are a few examples:
SETI—the Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence—was originally stood up with help from NASA, but has since been moved to other sources of private funding. SETI's main purpose is to act as a giant ear on behalf of the human race, pointing an array of ground-based telescopes towards space to listen for any signal from another world.
Kepler is a NASA spacecraft in orbit that's main goal is to search for Earth-like planets. Such a planet would be located in the "Goldilocks" zone of a distant solar system—not too hot and not too cold—and could potentially be habitable by life as we know it. The Kepler mission is specifically designed to survey our region of the Milky Way galaxy to discover Earth-sized, rocky planets in or near the habitable zone of the star (sun) they orbit.
The Mars Science Laboratory, Curiosity, is an automobile-sized rover that NASA is launching soon. The rover's onboard laboratory will study rocks, soils, and other geology in an effort to detect the chemical building blocks of life (e.g., forms of carbon) on Mars and will assess what the Martian environment was like in the past to see if it could have harbored life.
A last point: Many scientists and mathematicians have looked with a statistical mindset at the question of whether life likely exists beyond Earth and have come to the conclusion that the odds are pretty high that somewhere among the trillions and trillions of stars in the universe there is a planet other than ours that is home to life.
Many have also noted, however, that the odds of us making contact with any of them—especially any intelligent ones—are extremely small, given the distances involved.
But that's all statistics and speculation. The fact is we have no credible evidence of extraterrestrial presence here on Earth.

But the ET mythology is in total crisis.
UFO-Extraterrestrials Mythology is an industry and needs to protect its markets as any business does. For that reason, lack of evidences is mostly solved by the conspiracy theories.
However, there are certain rules even for imaginary conspiracies. Apparently, the biggest conspiracies produce more justifications to the nonsense rhetoric.

For example, let us see how the ET fantasists work with the conspiracy theories. The idea is that extraterrestrials are here, but most of the world’s governments and the whole scientific establishment conspire to deny the ET presence to the public. Now this is very useful for the exo-fantasists, because anyone making questions or demanding evidences is characterized as an agent provocateur working for the big cover-up.
For those who pretend those extraterrestrial civilizations are present in our world and in contact with governments, there are no legitimate questions, doubts or different points of view. On the contrary, all those questioning exofantasists definitions of reality are condemned as sinister operatives or called ignorants.

Obviously the conspiracy theories protect the markets and keep the believers passive, but there are some problems about this. In a society where there are no secrets and the Italian philosopher Gianni Vattimo called the Transparent Society, nobody can guarantee that the presence of ETs can be kept secret. At least this is not possible through the regular systems of information control.
Consequently, the imaginary conspiracy must have supernatural elements. The cabal is pyramidal and the big controllers are practically supernatural, and here is when religious fantasies are helpful. In the end, Lucifer will be the conspiracy big chief.

As a result of all these inventions, it is more and more impossible to pretend to be Scientists, and the ET mythologists become paranoid mystics. (This will also affect the intellectual composition of the believers’ groups.)
The ufologists’ narrative will become primitive and absurd, and intelligent people interested in the UFO phenomenon will be repealed by such paranoid and pseudo-religious garbage.
This situation puts the “ET experts” in a difficult situation: they are forced to re-invent the ET visitors every day, and also to keep their conspiracy memes alive and credible.

Something else: The discredited whistle-blowers can be protected for some time by the omnipotent cover-up, but not forever. Governments are worried only about true whistle-blowers, and these have nothing to do with the paranormal “revelations”.
UFO self proclaimed experts tell the public that the disclosure is imminent but sixty years of “imminence” is too much, don’t you think?
Rational individuals understand the obvious: there is no disclosure simply because there is nothing to disclose.
Selling the UFO-ET-CONSPIRACY mythology was easier in the 50’s and 60’s, but now perhaps it’s time to change the show.

Texas witness reports 10-ft tall Alien

The following is an unedited MUFON report of an alleged alien sighting at 7:20 PM on 17 September 2013 in Texas.

When arriving on the property home from work I drove down the drive way, and when approaching the opening to see the house I observed an entity that was approximately eight in a half foot tall to ten foot tall. It came from the direction of the house from the edge of the grass.

SCIENTIFIC REFUTATION OF THE ANCIENT ALIENS MYTHOLOGY.

Ancient Aliens Debunked is a 3 hour refutation of the theories proposed on the History Channel series Ancient Aliens. It is essentially a point by point critique of the "ancient astronaut theory" which has been proposed by people like Erich von Däniken and Zecharia Sitchin as well as many others.

The film covers topics like:
Ancient building sites: Puma Punku, The Pyramids, Baalbek, Incan sites, And Easter Island. Ancient artifacts: Pacal's rocket, the Nazca lines, the Tolima "fighter jets", the Egyptian "light bulb", Ufo's in ancient art, and the crystal skulls. Ancient text issues: Ezekiel's wheel, Ancient nuclear warfare, Vimana's, the Anunnaki, and the Nephilim.

All the claims are sourced at the website:http://ancientaliensdebunked.com

It was produced by Chris White and includes commentary from Dr. Michael Heiser.
It is distributed for free on the internet and is a completely non-profit project. Viewers are encouraged to share, and burn copies to DVD, as long as they do not profit from its distribution.

About Signs and Extraterrestrials.

I would like to share with you some ideas about signs and ETs.
In Semiotics a sign is something that can be interpreted as having a meaning, which is something other than itself, and which is therefore able to communicate information to the one interpreting or decoding the sign. Signs can work through any of the senses, visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory or taste, and their meaning can be intentional such as a word uttered with a specific meaning, or unintentional such as a symptom being a sign of a particular medical condition.

A sign is composed by two elements: a signifier , for example a word like horse, and a signified, that is the idea of a horse which comes to your mind when you hear or read the word “horse”.
But the sign works when we have also a referent, which is the real horse in the objective word.

Now, if we are interested in the UFO subculture we hear a thousand times the word extraterrestrial. We have then the signifier, the word which points to the signified, that is the idea of Extraterrestrial Civilized Entities, but we must recognize that the signified is not at all clear in this case.  There are many ideas most of them contradictory and confuse about extraterrestrials. The ETs of Billy Maier are not the same ETs of Richard Dolan, or Steven Greer or Michael Salla.
Perhaps we can find something concrete about  the extraterrestrials looking for the referent.

In other words, we must find the real extraterrestrial in the concrete, objective world. However, we will confront a big problem here, because there is no such referent for the “extraterrestrial” sign.
There are extraterrestrial things, but not a civilized biological extraterrestrial entity that’s visiting our world and presumably in contact with some privileged humans.
From a semiotic perspective, the extraterrestrials do not exist. There is no referent in the real world.

What we have is words, talk, text, but never the presence of the ETs. Even worst, those who talk, write and fake little aliens in films do not have a shred of evidence about extraterrestrials’ existence.
All the “experts “in ETs are in fact selling fantasies as realities.

Richard Dolan's pictures & The DISCLOSURE MYTH

There is something we can always find in the web, also known as virtual reality. Know what it is? Yes..! You are right, is the face of Richard Dolan. There are hundreds, nor thousands of Dolan’s pics.
What’s going on? Either the self proclaimed UFO expert believes that he is beautiful, or some told him his picture sells books.

Let me tell you what I think about this virtual narcissism: Richard believes that the powers that be will give him a nice disclosure if he keeps his photos on the family album.
After all, for more than 60 years the UFO profiteers are telling us that disclosure is imminent..!

The big problem the government has is this one: since there is no such thing as an UFO-ET cover up, obviously there is nothing to disclose.
However it’s possible that end if the matter is near: The “experts” in extraterrestrial visitors find a better job. They become tired of seeing their own pictures and writing the same UFO book again and again.

They are suddenly enlightened and see the emptiness of the whole ETH thing. They understand once and for all that there will be no disclosure simply because there is nothing to disclose.
I included the following link just because I have a question: Who these people think they are for “educating the Humanity?”

Steven Greer credibility after the "Sirius" scandal.

While Steven Greer apologists scramble to try to explain his latest misrepresentatindal.ons delivered in the form of the recently released film 'Sirius,' criticism is rampant. Former supporters expressed anger and disappointment over numerous issues, while long time critics reemphasized their stances that Greer should be granted no credibility whatsoever until he earns it, considering his now decades of unsubstantiated fantastic claims.
Some insiders insist that the failure of the documental “Sirius” can be a serious blow to the already damaged credibility of the exo-fantasist.
See our previous article about the “alien” which was human after all.
The UFO Religion blog tells us that “Steven Greer Supporters ‘Siriusly’ Angry at Steven Greer
A little game of words with “Sirius: and “seriously”.

“ So, what we have is lots of people paying to see something that claims to be proof of ET and they learn within the documentary that a scientist in the show says it’s human. Was there anything offered that overturned (which is different than disputed) that statement? Any real evidence of a non-human life form? No”.
Shame on you Steven. By the way, here is the interesting story of this champion of the disclosure movement.

DNA: The "Alien " of Dr. Greer was HUMAN, of course.

As usual, the EXO mythologists are wrong. After all it's not easy to invent extraterrestrials visiting our good old Earth. (some people make a living selling these fantasies.)

News from the UFO-ET Industry: Oppenheimer & Einstein were exopoliticians.

This is fantastic. Perhaps even bigger than the Roswell UFO crash incident and less credible than the Adamski’s handsome Venusians or the squirrels and rabbits in Mars surface.
We learn now that in June of 1947 Albert Einstein and J. Robert Oppenheimer together wrote a TOP SECRET six page document entitled "Relationships with Inhabitants of Celestial Bodies".
If you believe that I am joking, just take a look at the “document” following the link below.
The TOP SECRET six page document is entitled "Relationships with Inhabitants of Celestial Bodies".
In this paper, the extraterrestrials are called “men from the celestial bodies”.
At the end of the six pages document we find an ORDER FORM and catalog with the most complete selection of documents, CDs, articles, papers, videos and lectures on the UFO-ET mythology that can be found in the market.

My advice: think twice before buying fiction presented as fact.

Andy Basiago: a time travel show in the Triad Theater.

Yelm’s Triad Theater is opening its space up to a time traveler.
We all travel (forward) in time, but Seattle attorney Andrew Basiago declared that as a child he partook in experiments that allowed him to travel backward through time to experience such events as Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg address.
Basiago even claims a boy in a photograph of a crowd around President Lincoln is himself.
The event is 6:30 p.m. Sept. 22-23 at the Triad Theater, 102 Yelm Ave. S.E. Cost is $30 per night or $50 for both nights.
A VIP meet and greet, which includes wine, appetizers and priority seating, is 5-6 p.m Sunday and costs an additional $20.
For more information, go to www.thetriadartstheater.com.

Now, my own Theatre of the Absurd
I was thinking about these time and space jumpers, and perhaps they are secretly time-jumping today…who knows?
A reliable but anonymous source told me that it’s not easy to stop jumping once you begin, and that in some way, the whole thing is out of control.
This individual told me that in one of those time- trips he met his father. Curiously he could see his progenitor but the last one couldn’t see the son, because he was unborn, as a result, my anonymous but reliable source found himself between existence and nonexistence as a living unborn, and this understanding produced him a violent shock since his father was at the same time, a living dead.
My source told me also that while time-jumping, it was forbidden to play lotto knowing the winning number.
I think that time jumpers live in some kind of twilight zone.
By the way isn’t true that some racists and reactionary white supremacists wanted to jump back in time to 1861 and give General Lee some AK 47 and missiles. This sinister manipulation would have given the victory to the Confederate   Armies.

UFO-ET industry denies scientific research.

That’s why I recommend Ancient Aliens Debunked  a 3 hour refutation of the theories proposed on the History Channel series Ancient Aliens.
It is essentially a point by point critique of the “ancient astronaut theory” which has been proposed by people like Erich von Däniken and Zecharia Sitchin as well as many others.
The film covers topics like ancient building sites: Puma Punku, The Pyramids, Baalbek, Incan sites, And Easter Island. Ancient artifacts: Pacal’s rocket, the Nazca lines, the Tolima “fighter jets”, the Egyptian “light bulb”, Ufo’s in ancient art, and the crystal skulls. Ancient text issues: Ezekiel’s wheel, Ancient nuclear warfare, Vimana’s, the Anunnaki, and the Nephilim.
Rational individuals including ufologists, are always ready to hear about different ideas and hypothesis, even if these contradict their own perspectives.
Pseudo science and nonsense are characteristics of the UFO-ET industry. People seriously interested in the UFO Phenomenon want science, not show; investigation and not mythology.

Concerned Executives in the UFO-ET Industry.

Executives and experts in the UFO-ET Industry are worried about the decrease of UFO sightings in the world.  Believers want to know if the extraterrestrials are tired of us, but many think that, on the contrary, humans are tired of extraterrestrials.

Dr. Michael Salla alleged that regressive aliens consolidated contract with elites on Earth. Dr. Michael Salla has made such an allegation in his article titled False Flag Even in Syria: Exopolitics and the Third Force, that is based upon representation cited in a U.S. Veteran's affairs publication.  The following is an excerpt of his article:
Preston James has just written an article on Veteran’s Today describing the Luciferian extraterrestrial aspects of this “Third Force:”

Some credible insiders(sic.) have claimed that most top world leaders have had to enter into a contract with the Third Force which is really Lucifer, the fallen one, the great deceiver of mankind, who has presented himself as the Annunaki Master Controller Chief Alien ET which is claimed to be an an inter-generational, inter-dimensional entity that is manipulating the world according to his alien ET agenda.

I think that this immanentization of the eschaton is in fact an attempt to make the imaginary conspiracy bigger and to give some energy to the dying ETH, the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis. Remember that some people make a living with these fantasies, lecturing about “contacts in the desert” and rewriting UFO books.
There is something more that concerns to the crisis of the ETH business: truth is that individuals who believe in the existence of rabbits, squirrels and ladies sitting in Martian rocks, usually do not buy books because they don’t know how to read.
Andy Basiago, the man who discovered organic and even civilized life on Mars, is the same individual who time-jumped and space-jumped in a secret program of the CIA when he was a kid.

Now, back into the decrease of UFO sightings, it’s also possible that people learn the truth that goes unmentioned by the exo-fantasists: 95 percent of the things people see in the sky are natural phenomena and human made artifacts.

By the way, Dr. Michael Salla, the smiling exopolitician, uses more interrogation signs in their writings. This shows prudence and perhaps a healthy personal and secret skepticism.

About the ideas of Richard Dolan

In the Skeptics guide to the Universe forum the Ideas of Richard Dolan are in discussion. My comments between texts in bold
One of the participants writes what follows:
I'll sum him up for you.

Smart guy who believes stupid things without evidence.
This is in fact contradicted below. Perhaps Richard Dolan is a smart guy, but I don’t think he believes in those stupid things he says and writes. To think that the professionals of the UFO-ET galaxy of memes believe in what they say, we need evidences and we have no evidences of such thing. Mythological Ufology is a business and the mythologists are sellers, show men, not believers.
Does the same mental and cognitive gymnastics other believers do.
Probably he is doing marketing instead of mental gymnastics.
Has some notoriety now because of some books, TV appearances on SciFi Channel, and now his own radio program.
True.
So now that he's economically invested in the nonsense he will defend his cash cow and discount any disconfirming evidence as part of a conspiracy.
Also true, now the “believer” is protecting his business, and this has nothing to do with belief. On the contrary, believers usually are not good sellers.

For a guy who majored in history he sure seems incredibly ignorant about history. The UFOlogists have been saying the government will disclose the existence of extraterrestrials on Earth any day now since the 70s.
Richard Dolan is professor of Ufology in the Metaphysical University (online) and it is difficult to imagine what is that this man teaches if something. By the way, this fantasists are telling and writing that the disclosure is imminent since the 50’s
Did anybody else watch it all? It's hilarious. They declare aliens are here then start making shit up about what is going to happen as if it were an undisputed fact.
That’s the trick. Richard Dolan even wrote a book called “After Disclosure”. The fallacy of giving the extraterrestrial existence and presence in our planet as a fact is what keeps the show going on. Probably Dolan knows this and that is why now is hunting ghosts, whose inexistence is older than the aliens’ inexistence.
I am totally convinced that the UFO mythologists with well organized business are those who know that there will never be a disclosure since there is no such thing as a cover-up.

It is difficult to say what truth is, but sometimes it is easy to recognize falsehood." -Albert Einstein

About the inevitable crisis in the UFO-ET Industry.

Searching for ET, But No Evidence Yet

  • SETI—the Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence—was originally stood up with help from NASA, but has since been moved to other sources of private funding. SETI's main purpose is to act as a giant ear on behalf of the human race, pointing an array of ground-based telescopes towards space to listen for any signal from another world.
  • Kepler is a NASA spacecraft in orbit that's main goal is to search for Earth-like planets.
  • The Mars Science Laboratory, Curiosity, is an automobile-sized rover that NASA is launching soon.

Sirius: Dr. Greers “alien” is not alien at all.

The presumed dead alien is not extraterrestrial but a manipulated fetus.
The specimen was acquired by the Disclosure Project and has been under investigation by researchers at Stanford University in an effort to categorically confirm or reject the possibility of it being the remains of an alien.

On 22nd April the preliminary results were released, concluding that the specimen is human, but that despite the tiny size (~6 inches) it was thought to be a child aged between 6 and 8 years old with a variety of unknown medical conditions, rather than a foetus. This seems quite remarkable to me, since I’ve dealt with skeletal foetus specimens rather similar to this in museum collections.
The main differences I can discern by looking at the high quality photos, X-rays and CT scan on the Sirius Disclosure website are that the Atacama specimen is from a slightly earlier stage foetus (discussed below); it has mummified soft tissue that has shrunk tight (discussed below), pulling the ribcage into a more narrow configuration; and the head has been distorted, probably as a result of an illegal back-street abortion where a hook has been used to extract the foetus (discussed below), causing damage to the back of the skull and stretching the pliable head.

In the comments below, a contributor called Fred links to an image of this specimen where the large hole in the head is absent. Presumably the large hole was made while taking samples for testing.

There are other parts of the skull where a hook may have been inserted, causing the cranial deformation seen, such as through a fontanelle, but this is hard to confirm from the images available, so this makes the case for an abortion using a hook less likely. Abortions in the region are often carried out using an unknown mixture of herbs and it is possible that the deformation seen was caused by forceps used to facilitate extraction or as a result of post mortem tight wrapping of the specimen]
When undertaking an evaluation of something unusual like this, it is important to consider a range of factors, from the context of the specimen to how the evidence is balanced and what relative weighting should be applied to particular lines of evidence.

In this case the age estimate provided by Dr. Ralph Lachman has perhaps been overly influenced by the high density of the bone in the x-rays of the specimen (a pdf of his report can be seen here). In mummified specimens there is a well recognised increase in the density of both bone and cartilage to x-rays, to the point that age determination becomes unreliable (pdf of report on Egyptian child mummy detailing complications in age determination).

When this factor is taken into account, the specimen can be considered in a different light.

The length and degree of development is consistent with a 14-16 week old foetus, where the bones have mostly formed and are starting to harden, the skin is transparent and the external genitalia are formed, but the fingernails, eyelashes and eyebrows have not yet formed. Looking at the wider context of the find, Chile has some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the world. This means that illegal abortions are common in the country, with the third highest rates of maternal mortality in the country being as a direct result of complications arising from an illegal abortion. The ways in which these complications can arise are horrific, as must be the circumstances of any woman who decides to risk them in order to terminate an unwanted pregnancy. This isn’t the kind of decision to be made on a whim.

Nonetheless, it appears that some unfortunate woman underwent the procedure and the aborted foetus was disposed of in a remote location in the Atacama desert, only to become dried out, discovered and made the focus of study.

This brings me to the media handling of the reportage of the specimen. The preliminary results of the study clearly identify the specimen as a young human being (even if I disagree about the age range reported). It is also clear that the specimen is relatively recent and not of great antiquity; so why have papers like the Sun and Daily Mail taken the decision to sensationalise the story, rather than treat it with the respect that it deserves?

This is utterly unlike their reporting of the human placenta found in Tooting in March (Sun, Daily Mail) or the Sun’s analysis of a television broadcast of an abortion, or the slew of articles from the Mail’s apparent obsession with abortion.

It almost seems as though the Atacama specimen was deemed undeserving of respect because it’s considered a “freak” or “mutant”, but I fail to see how the specimen deserves any less respect than any other innocent dead human being. I wonder if the more prosaic story of the dumped outcome of an illegal and unsafe abortion, carried out on a desperate woman who may not have survived the procedure, would have gained the same attention that the story of a purported “alien” or “freak” has garnered. It saddens me to say that I rather doubt it.

In Greers film we are given UFO cases and UFO witnesses in a popcorn sort of manner, no sooner does one bounce up than it falls back and another takes its place. There is no time (or need) for exposition, or analysis. Every case, and every claim, is apparently completely solid and needs no further explanation or proof. The "organization" of the film was such that one could have taken almost any segment of it, and switched it with any other, and the change would scarcely be noticed. Some things that we are shown, for the most part quite briefly, include, in no particular order
Other than that we are given the discredited cvonspiracy theory elements.

*Dr. Oppenheimer saying, "we have done this (nukes) before."
*Ancient aliens
*Federal reserve conspiracies
*Oil company conspiracies
*Laurance Rockefeller saying 'disclosure' will change everything
*MJ-12 Government UFO coverup conspiracy
*STS-48 UFO video
*Dr. Lynne Kitei and the Phoenix Lights, which were not military flares
*"free energy" claimants, including T. Townsend Brown, Tom Valone, Tom Bearden, Stanley Meyer, John  Searl, Eugene Mallove, John Havrilla. Anti-gravity and electro-gravitics claims are made.
*Automobiles that can run on water
*Conspiracies involving the Masons, and the Bohemian Grove

Exo-mythologists just love the burden of proof fallacy.

Ignorance always benefits prejudice and dishonesty, and this can be clearly seen in the lack of knowledge of the ABC of rational thinking.
Regularly we find this ignorance at work in polemics between contemporary mythologists and rationalists. A good sample of this active ignorance is the use of the burden of proof fallacy by the Exo-fantasists.

This is not a surprise, because UFO experts’ total lack of evidences about what they say is true, particularly the presence of extraterrestrial civilizations in our planet. The fallacy of burden of proof is committed when those who tell us that about the ET hypothesis as fact are confronted with the logical demand of evidences about what they say.

Instead of recognizing that they have no evidences, the fantasists pretend us to proof that there are NOT extraterrestrials in or planet. They put the burden of proof in the wrong side,
The burden of proof is always on the person making an assertion or proposition.  Shifting the burden of proof is the fallacy of putting the burden of proof on the person who denies or questions the assertion being made.  The source of the fallacy is the assumption that something is true unless proven otherwise.

A standard rule in argumentation is “he who asserts must prove,” meaning that the writer bears full responsibility to prove that his or her claims are true.  Writers and speakers, especially when cornered with tough questions, often speak authoritatively, but they sometimes assume that their assertions are valid and place the onus of proof onto the audience.

When debating any issue, there is an implicit burden of proof on the person asserting a claim. "If this responsibility or burden of proof is shifted to a critic, the fallacy of appealing to ignorance is committed.”
This particularly dishonest fallacy turns the real world into an asylum.
The British mathematician and philosopher Bertrand Russell (1872–1970) wrote that if he claims that a teapot orbits the Sun somewhere in space between the Earth and Mars, it is nonsensical for him to expect others to believe him on the grounds that they cannot prove him wrong. Russell's teapot is still referred as an argument against the burden of proof fallacy.

In fact all those who are into baloney selling made a systematic use of this misleading concept.

MY DEFINITION OF SERIOUS UFOLOGICAL RESEARCH.

The professional ufologists who proclaim the extraterrestrial origin of the Unidentified Flying Objects, UFO, are not working on a hypothesis but proclaim the alien presence in our planet as a fact.
Hypothesis is defined as a supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation, but since there are no evidences about that ET presence, the exo-fantasists  are forced to deny alternative ideas and instead of serious research, they give us a complex, contradictory and unreliable mythology that has nothing to do with the real world.

Many things that are fundamental for a serious ufological research are also denied, and that is why the pseudo-researchers do not tell the public that at least ninety per cent of the sightings are identified as natural phenomena manmade artifacts or hoaxes. The other ten per cent remain unidentified for lack of information and research. This information changes completely the perspective of any serious ufological research and justifies the pseudo-scientific rhetoric and the mass of nonsense that we regularly analyze in this blog.
That’s why we work on the Psycho Cultural Hypothesis, the PCH.

According to the PCH, belief in UFOs as a real phenomenon developed out of a pre-existent fascination with the concept of space conquest and aliens, and the belief in alternative life forms here on our Earth.
The anthropomorphic alien is the new character. Science fiction, anxiety, personal fantasies and pop culture changed the old angels, gods, sylphs, gnomes and fairies into extraterrestrials
The UFO phenomenon then evolved as any other cultural story. The extraterrestrial mythology brought us good aliens and bad aliens; all of them very human indeed, and playing a game of hide and seek with us. The close encounters of the Third Kind, beautifully imagined by Steve Spielberg in his film, are always a personal experience without objective evidences.

The PCH sees UFOs and Ufological sub-culture as a complex phenomenon combining modern mythology, literary narrative, popular culture, and human psychology, which is after all the galaxy of memes as I wrote in this blog. We should also add the conspiracy theories and pseudo-science, including hoaxes.

As all hypotheses, this one is a supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation.
I think however that some of those unidentified flying objects or entities were occasionally seen in our skies from the beginning of times, but until this very moment, we do not know what these “things” are.

Adventures with the Third Force in Syria.

Syria’s conflict is not so easy to understand, and it would be wrong to think that President Obama wanted just to give a show of force. Also it would be wrong to believe that Russia sees Syria as a good client always ready to buy Russian missiles.
In fact, a mysterious third force is acting here in our world. Dr. Michael Salla quotes James Preston, who wrote an article about these horrors in Veteran’s Today,  describing the Luciferian extraterrestrial aspects of this “Third Force:” Dr. Michael Salla believes that manipulative extraterrestrials also work with the Third Force.

Dr. Michael Salla suggests that the Third Force is aligned with a group of extraterrestrials that has been on Earth for millennia but these bad aliens collaborate with the plans of…. LUCIFER who, as you all know in the Christian mythology is a fallen angel, the most beautiful of all angels who, by the way, was responsible for the heavenly Music.

This is of course a conspiracy and one of the basic rules of Conspiracy theory is that if the scheme is bigger enough, ANYTHING can be related  to it.  Feel free to imagine what you want, and write about it because after all, in the conspiracy world everything is possible. However, let me give you a friendly advice: be honest with yourself and IF you find that you are believing in the products of your imagination, it's time to see a doctor, believe me.

Adventures in Time Jumping: The Meeting..!

Let me tell you a couple of things. First about a harmless accident Basiago, the time jumper have had when he was doing time jumping and space jumping for CIA.
Some apparently reliable sources told us that the time machine worked faster this time and created a quantum accident. (Quantum sound nice, isn’t it?) Since time paradoxically worked faster than usual time for the time machine, Andy Basiago was forced to stop in time, (approx. 1127-29 A.C.) and wait…YES, wait for Basiago.
After a few seconds of millennia, Andy Basiago met himself and everything was OK again.
On the contrary, in other time jump experience, again for some quantum differences and problems in the hyper-time space, Andy remained lost in time-space while Andy was already in 1492 with Christopher Columbus in “Puerto de Palos”, Spain.

The quantum problem was fixed following some Tesla’s suggestions and Andy meet Andy in time.

EXOPOLITICIANS IMMANENTIZE THE ESCHATON

It’s a common practice of the exopoliticians and paranormal researchers to immanentize the eschaton. This sounds difficult perhaps, but it is not so. The idea is to explain what happens in our the real immanent world, projecting the idea of cosmic supernatural forces manipulating our reality.
Sample: several exopoliticians are talking about a mysterious “third force” working to produce a war in the Middle East beginning in Syria.
For Dr. Michael Salla, this third force includes what he defines as “manipulative extraterrestrials” . He writes in his Exopolitical site: “What both President Obama’s administration and the alternative media are not considering is a shadowy “Third Force” operating in Syria. There is evidence that a “Third Force” is operating in Syria that plans to decimate Damascus for an otherworldly “exopolitical” agenda. “FALSE FLAG EVENT IN SYRIA: THE THIRD FORCE AND EXOPOLITICS
Dr. Salla quotes Preston James who  has just written an article on Veteran’s Today describing the Luciferian extraterrestrial aspects of this “Third Force:” “
Some credible insiders have claimed that most top world leaders have had to enter into a contract with the Third Force which is really Lucifer, the fallen one, the great deceiver of mankind, who has presented himself as the Annunaki Master Controller Chief Alien ET which is claimed to be an an inter-generational, inter-dimensional entity that is manipulating the world according to his alien ET agenda.”
Of course all this confirms the tabloidean narrative of the Exopolitician, immersed in a postmodernist orgy of absurdity and nonsense.
Nobody can believe for a moment that Dr. Michael Salla believes that all this is true, neither can we believe that Salla’s readers believe this magnificent piece of wild imagination. The show must go on.

LUCIFER CONTROLS MANIPULATIVE ALIENS

HOAX/SCAM: Aerial Phenomenon Investigations (API) and Men in Black

This video has been circulating on the internet for a few months, perhaps a year. It involves an alleged sighting of the Men in Black. The alleged sighting was being investigated by the Aerial Phenomenon Investigations team, also known as API. It has been strongly rumored that the video itself is a hoax and a mere instrument used by API to earn respect in the UFO research community; to establish a solid fan base; and to solidify credibility as a professional, impartial, and experienced group of investigators. Unfortunately, no evidence has been presented to determine the authenticity of the video, nor has API provided any response when confronted with allegations of being a publicity stunt or have less-than altruistic visions.

A new ufological group called Aerial Phenomena Investigation Team( APIT)proclaims that Ufology must be saved from all those liars and profiteers. Of course they are SELLING tickets for some event with the nice name UFOCON 14 .( http://aerial-phenomenon.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Poster16.png)
Your money $40 early bird and/or your donations through PenPal will contribute to save the ufological science. VIP $75 includes lunch, speakers and front seated rows.
Apparently all this looks like the well known show. Nothing new, just people marketing UFO mythology.
In the Internet, many UFO fans say that Antonio Paris, chief investigator of the APIT, has recruited Shane Sovar, the hoaxer responsible for the infamous "Men In Black" hoax video, to be "Field Researcher and Investigator for Canada." We now learn that Mr. Sovar "has been interested in UFOlogy since the age of seven and has personally witnessed two UFOs since then." Odd that no mention is made of Mr. Sovar having been the hotel employee who "leaked" the "Men In Black" video.
This video has been circulating on the internet for a few months.

By the way in another video, the self proclaimed skeptic ufologist Paul Carr not only promotes the faked men in black video, but tells his viewers a story about someone who found an implant in his arm. After the extraction, this implant was kept in a little plastic bag and Carr shows  that apparently the "implant" punched a hole in the plastic and disappeared. Paul Carr is also a member of the Aerial Phenomena Investigations Team.
(If all this is the "new ufology" well, let me remember you people that...the show must go on..!)

Tabloid Culture, Postmodernism and UFO Mythology.

We mentioned already the Tabloid Culture as a development of this Society of the Spectacle, and defined some of the characteristics of the tabloid style communication.

From the perspective of the Tabloid Culture there are no difference between fact and fiction, precisely because selling is more important than truth.

Tabloid Culture does not rely on facts, because the whole business is to give consumers what they want to read. In this also called trash journalism, fantasies are produced as a marketing strategy in whatever proportion is needed just to sell the tabloid and defeat the competence.

However, we would be wrong on believing that there is a conspiracy of the publishers to sell trash misinformation. The exchange of tabloid pseudo-information is only possible if the public agrees with the publishers. In other words if the readers agree with the tabloid fantasists and scandal mongers in one thing: to forget the difference between fact and fiction. In the “tabloideal” world, the journalist write lies and the reader knows that the tabloid content is untrue.

Sometimes we find in the ufological world a well designed and organized UFO industry. At the same time, it’s obvious that those who buy this nonsense must know that what they are reading is mythological and faked.

Back into the world of Ufology, most of the “experts “ in ETH will deny the existence of this fact-fiction textual dimension. They will say that they are telling the truth, only the truth and nothing but the truth.
However, I think there are exceptions, and I want to suggest that one of those rare exceptions is Dr. Michael Salla. First of all we must recognize that Michael is not afraid of dissident expressions. I write freely until now in his facebook space. This is great for us and for Ufology, because science is never afraid of differences and discrepancies.

If you visit some of Dr. Salla’s sites, http://exopolitics.org/ you will find that color, image and text are designed to sell books and courses and all the ufological commodities.
Reading what the exopolitician writes, you will perhaps agree with me. Dr. Michael Salla and those who follow him and read his books are consciously positioned in the twilight territory between fact and fiction.
Both the writer and the readers are playing a game without believing that this game takes its rules from the real, factual world.

If I am right, there is nothing inherently wrong in this game, in this dimension where fact and fiction are meaningless.
In some way this is postmodernist Ufology.
