The UFO-ET industry at work.

The whole thing is old and in view of the fact that UFOs remain non-existent as their also non-existent extraterrestrial cosmonauts, the whole thing becomes the UFO-ET Industry and perhaps also some UFO-ET cults.
Cover-up and Disclosure? Perhaps the new UFO video games include these two myths. On the contrary cultists will say that the whole ET thing is a mystery, so we must have FAITH..!
Faith is the best way to keep in the mind of true-believers something that doesn’t exist. Also, faith sells well. That’s why televangelists make good money. Soon we will have also UFOevangelists.
Below an example of the UFO Industry at work.

More about the so called UFO phenomenon. A polemic with Sam Maranto.

Very interesting our exchange with Sam Maranto, director of MUFON Illinois. He wrote in Facebook:

“ No Tomas, a good number of the cases I've worked on are not the result of imagination or boredom they appear to be genuine and unknown. What I do not ascribe too is knowing with certainty the point of origin or intent of "what was being observed".The human origin explanation is possible for only those of recent decades but surely not for all genuine accounts and clearly not throughout I time.Lastly, I prefer to speak for myself and to be quoted in complete relevant context, sadly that newspaper article in particular did neither, thank you. To assume there is nothing genuine to any of these accounts would be counter intuitive and not scientific. One could only ascribe to a such notion if they were deprived/devoid of ever objectively investigating even so much as a small sampling of qualitative data. There is always the possibility they may simply be inept or hell bent on perusing a less than forthright agenda one more in line with a predetermined deduction/outcome.”

I believe in what he says. I believe that instead of writing science fiction and selling it as fact, he does is into research. However we, (not me, all of us) need something more, some evidence about those “true UFOs that remain unidentified.”
I do not assume that there is nothing genuine in those sightings, Sam.
Personally in more than 40 years of research I never found a shred of evidence proving that those sightings were NOT natural or man made phenomena or artifacts.  You saw my books, and understand that I am not an outsider. I know perfectly well what we are talking about. I was writing nonsense about Extraterrestrials in the 70’s!!!
I WAS WRONG. I was wasting my time. There is NOTHING there. The whole UFO phenomenon is a creation of science fiction, human imagination, ignorance, pathology, hoaxes, commercialism and fantasies. (Perhaps also disinformation.)

However, Ufology  exists, and the investigation of the UFO subculture as a powerful human legend that survives in the minds of the some professionals and relatively few individuals who desperately those who want to believe.

After all those interviews, you recognize that some of those sightings “appear to be genuine and unknown. What I do not ascribe too is knowing with certainty the point of origin or intent of "what was being observed". These are your words Sam, and I agree with them.

Sam Maranto is NOT an "armchair UFO fantasist"

We can fight a little with MUFON Illinois director Sam Maranto, but let me tell you this: he is not the “armchair UFO-EXO charlatan and fantasist”
In the article about Sam Maranto published by the Kate Valentine UFO Show we read:
“Midnight will find Maranto at his computer, frowning in concentration and tapping away, until he is satisfied with his conclusions. Only then will he look up from his task, grab the nearest phone and call a colleague with the news.”
Maranto's heart skips a beat every time the phone rings. And why not? That next call, might just be the one. And when he gets a call, Maranto hotfoots it right over to the scene. He wants to be there when it happens.
"There are approximately 70,000 reported UFO sightings every year, and that's something like 192 per day," Maranto said. "Even if only a handful are authentic, there is still a substantial case for the existence of UFOs.”
Sam is honest and works in the field like we did for decades. We knows well that feeling of frustration each time that he learns about balloons, planets, satellites, funny clouds, planes, meteorites, man made artifacts…(you name it.)
He knows that 95 to 98 percent of the so called UFOs are perfectly identifiable phenomena. No ETs, no cosmic visitors, He knows that his witnesses are just bored people wanting to see something different.
Day after day Sam Maranto, like a few other true researchers, comes back to his home with empty hands. There was nothing there, just simple people wanting to be special, wanting to experience the “supernatural” which doesn’t exist.
People desperately wanting to believe in “something else”. Day after day, year after year, decade after decade, while nothing happens. Just words.
Nothing else, nothing different. No gods, no angels, no demons, no extraterrestrials but humans, just people like Sam Maranto and Tomas Scolarici.

My answer to Sam Maranto's logical fallacies.

Sam Maranto, director of MUFON in Illinois, reacted to my posts in Facebook and in this blog, with the only arguments UFO fantasists have: first the Shifting of Burden of Proof fallacy and then the Ad Hominem attack.

Maranto wrote in Facebook:
“So Tomas what is your non-ET explanation for the entire UFO phenomena? What is your evidence?”

This an obvious case of burden of proof fallacy, since he is the one who tells us that UFO-ET exist while I demand some clear evidence of this statement. Maranto turns the burden of proof, and ask me if I have evidences that UFO=Extraterrestrials do not exist.
Of course this is irrational and shows the pathetic situation of UFO-ET mythologists.
Suppose that I say that flying pink elephants exist, and Mister X asks me for evidences concerning these flying pink elephants. Given that I cannot show those evidences, I ask Mister X what are his evidences that flying pink elephants do NOT exist.
My reply to Sam Maranto’s logical fallacy was precisely the complete definition of his fallacy, and so, the director of MUFON Illinois used another fallacy, the Ad Hominem attack. He called me ignorant, cave dweller, and defined my reply as rhetorical gibberish.
Now, truth is that Sam recognizes that there are no evidences about UFO as extraterrestrial vehicles.
In an article about Sam Maranto published in the Kate Valentine UFO show, (link above, ) we read: “Maranto takes his work seriously, and though he'll laugh with you, he doesn't appreciate jokes about little green men and aluminum hats. He's a cynical man — one of his favorite expressions is, "Not every weird light in the sky is a UFO."
“In the majority of cases, Maranto's adrenaline is pumped up for nothing. He speeds to the scene only to find the "UFO" is actually a bouquet of liberated Mylar balloons twisting, turning and reflecting the lights of the city — poetic perhaps, but certainly not a myth come to life.”
“While acknowledging that there is no "absolute" evidence of UFOs, Maranto finds the "prove it" attitude frustrating.”
The commentary includes the following statement from a scientific source:
"My only response (to the idea of UFOs) is that there is no credible evidence," said James Hopkins, an astronomy professor at Joliet Junior College. "If one crashed made of a metal never before discovered on this planet it would be convincing. I believe in what I can prove."
Do you think Mr. Maranto, that professor James Hopkins is also “an ignorant”, a “cave dweller” and his ideas are rhetorical gibberish?

Astrology about contacts between Extraterrestrial Intelligence and Humans

Eli Sadhanusari contribution.

James Black, knowing my experience as astrologer, formulates the following question:
Are extraterrestrial intelligences in contact with humans on our own planet?

This is of course a question for Horary Astrology which is very ancient and also very accurate art. It deals with specific questions and replies with specific answers.
The horary chart is calculated by the astrologer at the time he receives the question and understands it clearly.

The first house of the horoscope represents always the querent, that is the individual who makes the question. In this case the question (quesited) points to the 9 house which rules the space, aliens, higher learning and superior intelligence between similar other things.

We can see that the Ascendant of the chart is in Cancer and conjuncts with a powerful angular Jupiter, and this planet is also the natural ruler of the nine house..!

The Moon, which rules Cancer, where Jupiter is found, applies to a sextile with Uranus, co-ruler of aliens, universal life and Cosmos.
However, Moon is conjunct to a very malefic star called Algol, and also Jupiter is retrograde, and retrograde planets represent show retreats that contradict original plans.

The Moon is also applying to a square, an evil aspect to Mars, a well known planetary expression of wars tensions and conflicts. Jupiter trine to Saturn talks about distrust
So, my interpretation is this one:
The answer is positive. There are contacts between ET intelligentsia and humans, but we also can see that these contacts are conflictive and uneasy. Also there are unclear intentions but it’s possible that prudence and some form of understanding perhaps unsatisfactory will prevail at last. Also there are many things that humans ignore or cannot understand.

This is Rational Ufology.

Since 2005 the Daily News has reported no less than 15 separate incidents.

The question must be asked - what are these strange lights and anomalies in our skies?

The usual answers range from military test flights, to weather balloons and natural phenomena.

And, of course, many people default to extraterrestrial visitors.

So we decided to put our questions to the Australian UFO Research Network co-director Robert Frola in the hope he could shed some light on the situation.

The respected research network was founded in 1998 and has worked with police, aviation authorities and many other credible organizations.

"Realistically, I'd say about 95-98% of UFO sightings that come to us have a satisfactory explanation as to what they are," Mr Frola said.

"People come to us and think the unidentified flying object they've seen must be a spacecraft but it could be as simple as a blur on the lens or a bug flying close to the camera.

"I mean, I have personally seen UFOs I can't put my finger on but realistically it's just a light in the sky unless proven otherwise."

Present and future of the UFO=EXTRATERRESTRIAL mythology.

In Ufology we have people talking and/or writing for other people about what they say they believe, or about what other individuals say about UFOs as Extraterrestrial crafts.
UFO fantasists talk, but also remain silent when any idea, or theory, or logical explanation contradicts their ideology.
For example, ufologists talk about sightings but never, never mention that 95 to 98 percent of these sightings are positively identified as astronomical phenomena (meteors, planets or bright stars low in the sky), atmospheric phenomena like clouds, lightning in all its forms, mirages, and
Man made artifacts as aircraft, balloons, blimps, kites and a variety of psychological phenomena. Also, illusions and hoaxes constitute a small fraction of UFO reports.
In other words, for the fantasists there are UFOs but no IFOs. The unidentified is never identified.

However, this absolute lack of reliable evidences about extraterrestrial civilizations in our planet is justified by another myth: the cover up; a big conspiracy which includes not only the government(s) but the whole scientific establishment.

Since in Ufology nothing is new, fantasists keep pseudo-events like the presumed UFO crash in Roswell as dogmas that cannot be put in doubt. (The UFO crashed was just "weather balloon" belonging to the classified Project Mogul run by the US Air Force.)

In addition, for the exo-fantasists, there are no individuals with different ideas concerning UFOs. These skeptics are infidels, heretics, and all of them work for the giant cover up, of course. EXOS imagine a monumental black budget that pays for this imaginary army of psy-ops, disinformers, and provocateurs.

But you would be wrong if you think that the UFO-ET mythologists are unified by similar convictions. This is not so, because each one of the experts in alien (invisible) interstellar civilizations, accuse their own colleagues as provocateurs, psy-ops and disinformers.

This is so, because these fictions given as facts are totally contradictory. Each mythologist protects and proclaims his/her own creations as the universal truth. This is important because it shows that the exos are not talking about some objective reality but about their own imaginary worlds.

Of course, the cover up myth cannot keep the faith of the UFO-ET fans, so they need a promise. They need to believe that someday, there will be a disclosure and the Truth will be revealed, and we will see the Extraterrestrial Civilization in all its glory.  This is however the beginning of a religion, because the disclosure hope is something like the hope of a second coming of Christ.

The exo-fantasists need to convince the true-believers that there will be disclosure and even that this event will happen soon.
The question: is this enough to keep the ET presence mythology alive? The answer is NO and because of this, some contactees sell books with the presumed message of the extraterrestrials which is of course a blend of New Age, Religion and “spiritual” advice. These contactees are already in the religious area. They care not about cover ups, disclosures of ET plans. They make a living selling these “cosmic messages” and that is all there is.

Those who sell the image of researchers will need new inventions to keep their clients interested. The rarified alternative is to blend the ET myth with occultism, paranoia, secret societies and the whole spectrum of Conspiracy theory. I think it’s not enough to keep the ET myth alive, because the classic image of the flying saucers landing in our world belongs to the science fiction of the 50’s and perhaps the 60’s.
Flying Saucers, ET civilizations and universal cover ups will become video-games or class B science fiction movies while EXO-fantasists look for a new job.

WHY UFO-ET FANTASISTS JUST LOVE THE COVER UP.

UFO-ET fantasists just love the cover-up. Day after day, the professionals which make a living selling the fiction of the extraterrestrial civilizations present in our planet must take care of two things that are related.

The first one is to keep the people believing that a giant conspiracy keeps the secret of the extraterrestrial presence in our planet. This is not an easy task because these extraterrestrials, if they exist, are invisible. That makes the imaginary cover up the big friend of the EXO-fantasists.

For the experts in ET civilizations, the conspiracy between governments, scientific establishment and extraterrestrials is the last possibility to keep the ET myth alive; to keep the whole thing credible.
After 60 years of exo-mythology, nothing can do more for the fantasists than the imaginary cover up. This explains why they claim for the disclosure, knowing perfectly well that there cannot be disclosure because there is nothing to disclose.

But of course, time goes by, and the young and enthusiast researchers became older, and their kids grow and learn what dad is doing for living.
Will dad tell them about the giant cover up? Does dad, the ufologist, want their kids to become UFO fans?

Honestly, these are very serious questions and we have no answers for these private matters. Besides, we will not go again into the serious problem of cognitive dissonance.

Dean Sloan condemned the "infidels".

The message included below was posted as a reply to my own post:
http://ufoculture.blogspot.com/2013/11/richard-dolan-and-normality-of.html

Mr Dean Sloan puts himself in the possition of wise man who knows what the "ignorants " like me don't know. He talks also about experimental knowledge of all this unreliable "science" that is nothing but unsubstantiated pseudo-mystic nonsense.
Q. Dean Sloan talks about the imaginary, or I should say "personally experienced"  entities like
ET Presence, Human soul, crown chakra and egoic lotus. Of course he doesn't talk about the possibility of concrete evidences for this bunch of superstitions. On the contrary, he, calls me "miseducated , mentally inbalanced and cognitive dissonant."
Of course, someone who believes in the existence of extraterrestrial presence, crown chakras and egoic lotus, cannot be called imbalanced but  he should give us some EVIDENCE of what he "sees". Of course those who see things that doesn't exist, should talk seriously with a good Doctor.
Back to Dean Sloan's arguments, he give us as  "evidence" the pathetic list of fantasists and border-line personalities who try to make a living selling fiction as fact.
About cognitive dissonance, we wrote a lot about this neurotic behaviour here, in UFO culture. Let me include here something I posted about cognitive dissonance and the nonsense industry.
"Is important to recognize the problem of cognitive dissonance, because in the UFO industry we find intelligent individuals whose life must be a permanent contradiction between their convictions and what they write for the public.
Cognitive dissonance is an uncomfortable feeling caused by holding two contradictory ideas simultaneously.
The "ideas" or "cognitions" in question may include attitudes and beliefs, and also the awareness of one's behavior. The theory of cognitive dissonance proposes that people have a motivational drive to reduce dissonance by changing their attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors, or by justifying or rationalizing their attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors.

Dissonance normally occurs when a person perceives a logical inconsistency among his or her cognitions.
Let’s imagine that someone is forced to do or say publicly something they privately really don't want to do, dissonance is created between their cognition (I didn't want to do this) and their behavior (I did it).  Forced compliance occurs when an individual performs an action that is inconsistent with his or her beliefs.
Now, this cognitive dissonance will have also a great impact on the social life of the individual affected.
Most probably she or he will became growingly isolated and loose self-esteem.
If the differences between real and proclaimed convictions grow, the situation will eventually become critical.
It is probable that individuals forced to remain in such a cognitive dissonance will “lose their minds.”
Even Insanity is possible for some border line personalities.

Richard Dolan invents a clandestine terrestrial civilization.

First of all, the imaginary world of Richard Dolan is boring, because most of the time the self-proclaimed researcher talks about billions, and trillions of dollars that ( he says) belong to some kind of secret budget.
Who needs this money? Apparently the breakaway civilization, which is a parallel civilization enjoying the benefits of extraterrestrial technology, and unlimited capital.
The problem comes when Richard tells us that this money comes from money laundering, drugs, and some other illegal activities. These operations are performed by the official and also the clandestine Black Budget. Dolan tells us that there are two Black Budgets, one of them more clandestine that the other.
The second, secret civilization with alien technology is much more advanced that the civilization we know and live in, and with this sophisticated knowledge the breakaways will take care of a secret space program and who knows what else.
Dolan tells us that the extraterrestrials are here, but at the same time recognizes that these Unidentified Flying Objects belong to someone, perhaps to the breakaway civilization.
Richard Dolan Conspiracy keeps the presumed extraterrestrial visitors in the shadow, and generously the researcher admits that “they are different from us.”

Of course Richard doesn’t think it’s necessary to give his public any evidence of what he says, that’s why several times Dolan tells that all this is just what “I do think…” and comes from “my own assessment…”
Perhaps some individuals will mistake this complete fiction with facts. Those in doubt only need to ask for EVIDENCES; reliable and clear evidences, knowing of course that our researcher will give none.
Nobody can give what he doesn’t have.

About Richard Dolan's image changes.

Above we have a Richard Dolan’s video link.
Some readers ask me about the changes they see in Richard, and my answer to some questions about Richard Dolan presumed physiognomic changes, is this one:
Richard is not the young, baby face man, he was. I think that he is just tired and perhaps confronting some personal problems. His obviously whitening beard and hair gives him the look of an older man.
Besides, let’s be honest with ourselves and with our readers.
1) IF Richard Dolan truly believes in the government and scientific establishment cover up for keeping the secret of the ET presence in our Earth; writing ant talking about these “secrets” probably gives him some obvious distress.
2) On the contrary, if Richard Dolan doesn’t believe in the ET presence and the cover up, this secret skepticism also creates uneasiness and embarrassment. See link below please.
3) There is also a third possibility: after some time, rational individuals understand that the whole UFO-ET-hypothesis is an intellectual quagmire. If this is the case, Richard Dolan should do something as soon as possible to save his academic career and personal image.

Richard Dolan and the "normality of the paranormal". (baloney detection kit included.)

Richard Dolan and George Hansen, self proclaimed UFO & Paranormal researcher and parapsychologist respectively, will… (Let me see, yes!) They will normalize the paranormal, but it’s not simple to tell something about this oxymoronic concept, because IF the paranormal is normalized it simply disappears, right? It’s not paranormal any more.
UFO researcher Richard Dolan and parapsychologist George Hansen argue that advances in technology are expanding the limits of human consciousness to the point where supernatural phenomena will become commonly accepted occurrences.

This complete nonsense implies several things. Basically, what is called paranormal phenomena exist but our limited consciousness is unable to perceive these phenomena. At the same time, the statement implies that people like Richard Dolan and George Hansen are “advanced” enough to detect these paranormal phenomena.
“As evidence of otherworldly contacts increases, - says Dolan without giving any evidence, as usual -the motivation to keep such information suppressed increases as well. Richard Dolan feels public disclosure will happen, but it will require a major paradigm change.”
For Richard Dolan, privileged visionary, otherworldly contacts (?) and the conspiracy of the authorities to cover up these “phenomena” are facts. Dolan feels that he doesn’t need to give any concrete reliable evidence of what he says.
Our advice is this: read about this meaningless fiction given as fact, but keep the Baloney Detection Kit included below with you.
 CARL SAGAN'S BALONEY DETECTION KIT
Based on the book The Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan
The following are suggested as tools for testing arguments and detecting fallacious or fraudulent arguments:
    • Wherever possible there must be independent confirmation of the facts
    • Encourage substantive debate on the evidence by knowledgeable proponents of all points of view.
    • Arguments from authority carry little weight (in science there are no "authorities").
    • Spin more than one hypothesis - don't simply run with the first idea that caught your fancy.
    • Try not to get overly attached to a hypothesis just because it's yours.
    • Quantify, wherever possible.
    • If there is a chain of argument every link in the chain must work.
    • "Occam's razor" - if there are two hypothesis that explain the data equally well choose the simpler.
    • Ask whether the hypothesis can, at least in principle, be falsified (shown to be false by some unambiguous test). In other words, it is testable? Can others duplicate the experiment and get the same result?
Additional issues are
    • Conduct control experiments - especially "double blind" experiments where the person taking measurements is not aware of the test and control subjects.
    • Check for confounding factors - separate the variables.
Common fallacies of logic and rhetoric
    • Ad hominem - attacking the arguer and not the argument.
    • Argument from "authority".
    • Argument from adverse consequences (putting pressure on the decision maker by pointing out dire consequences of an "unfavourable" decision).
    • Appeal to ignorance (absence of evidence is not evidence of absence).
    • Special pleading (typically referring to god's will).
    • Begging the question (assuming an answer in the way the question is phrased).
    • Observational selection (counting the hits and forgetting the misses).
    • Statistics of small numbers (such as drawing conclusions from inadequate sample sizes).
    • Misunderstanding the nature of statistics (President Eisenhower expressing astonishment and alarm on discovering that fully half of all Americans have below average intelligence!)
    • Inconsistency (e.g. military expenditures based on worst case scenarios but scientific projections on environmental dangers thriftily ignored because they are not "proved").
    • Non sequitur - "it does not follow" - the logic falls down.
    • Post hoc, ergo propter hoc - "it happened after so it was caused by" - confusion of cause and effect.
    • Meaningless question ("what happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object?).
    • Excluded middle - considering only the two extremes in a range of possibilities (making the "other side" look worse than it really is).
    • Short-term v. long-term - a subset of excluded middle ("why pursue fundamental science when we have so huge a budget deficit?").
    • Slippery slope - a subset of excluded middle - unwarranted extrapolation of the effects (give an inch and they will take a mile).
    • Confusion of correlation and causation.
    • Straw man - caricaturing (or stereotyping) a position to make it easier to attack..
    • Suppressed evidence or half-truths.
    • Weasel words - for example, use of euphemisms for war such as "police action" to get around limitations on Presidential powers. "An important art of politicians is to find new names for institutions which under old names have become odious to the public"

THE OLD "NEW WORLD ORDER" CONSPIRACY.

One of the basic elements for the understanding of conspiracy theories is that any conspiracy has several contradictory models.
An excellent sample is the New World Order conspiracy model that changes with the times and the style of conspiracy theorists. Communists, Jews, Freemasons, Illuminati and now even extraterrestrial lizards are  the conspirators.

For the John Birch society, communists were behind the N.W.O. sinister plan to control the whole world, but after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the conversion of China to the capitalist system, the whole thing changed.
Anti-Semitic individuals and groups pointed to the Jews, consequently  the infamous Protocols of the Elders of Zion, and invention of czarist police to justify the pogroms in Russia, were back “in print”. Now, some conspiracy theorists say that the presumed reptilian controllers of our world were behind those protocols.

Also the villains are the Trilateral, the Bilderberg Group, United Nations and of course Illuminati, Freemasonry and even Satan himself.
For the manipulators of social paranoia everything goes. Why? Because fear and hate are always best-sellers.
New World Order conspiracy is now blended with the myth of the UFO cover up and even evil  extraterrestrials that conspire inside the so called Military-Industrial-Extraterrestrial complex.

The real problem is that these conspiracies are more than innocent urban legends. In the mind of border-line personalities conspiratorial ideas can give the motivation for acts of irrational violence.
Those who plant this kind of misinformation particularly in the internet should consider the danger mentioned above.

Fwd: Richard Dolan after Ufology?

Subject: Richard Dolan after Ufology?
To: fso2604@gmail.com

Richard Dolan , who was a convinced  leftist before going into the UFO-Paranormal business, defines himself as a great ufological researcher, the greatest of his generation. Some colleagues in the ET-cover-up mythology , on the contrary think that Dolan's narrative is based as usual in anonymous   unreliable sources and the classic ufological paranoidal nonsense.
What we learned from our own sources is that Richard is going into some kind of middle age crisis, and secretly is looking for redemption out of the rarefied world of the ET conspiracy-fiction.
Watching Dolan's last videos and lectures, is obvious that Richard looks tired, worn-out and exhausted.
UFO fans told us that Dolan's proclaimed confidence in a fast "disclosure" is dead, and privately Richard Dolan shows a growing skepticism that contradicts his previous statements and even the paradigmatic model of his previous books.
What's going on with Richard Dolan? Perhaps the old chronos, (time) is teaching him a lesson of prudence and sincerity. Perhaps in his own mind, reason and logic have also something to say.
There is a time for fairy tales and a time to be an adult. An old american-indian shaman said once: "If you don't know what to say, remain silent, because  silence teaches more than empty words."

EXO-mythologists and their interviews with "anonymous gentlemen"

Richard Dolan wrote in Facebook about a “productive discussion with several fellow researchers on the anonymous gentleman I interviewed recently, which has gone viral on YouTube.”
Those fellow researchers probably loved the idea, and very soon they will also find their own anonymous gentlemen or anonymous ladies for interviews.

Truth is that the idea is superb for several reasons. As we all know, the “extraterrestrials” are always a reference. There are not ETs but people talking or writing about ETs. ET civilizations visiting earth are always invisible. Researchers talk with researchers or anonymous sources or discredited charlatans but never, never with the “real thing”, the extraterrestrials.

The professional ufologists, of course, must keep the show going on. They need client, followers and true-believers ready to buy books or CDs or even galactic diplomacy lessons.
This task is not easy, because there is not a shred of evidence about these ET presences in our Earth or in any other place of the Universe. EXO-fantasists have only words, references, floating signifiers from a semiotic perspective; unreliable discredited “sources” and lots of imagination.

So, these interviews with anonymous ladies or gentlemen are a free source of improvisation and misinformation.

Mythologists have nothing better to give us than these anonymous interviews without any kind of objective value.

Richard Dolan "one of the greatest researchers of our generation"???

What’s going on here? We know that Richard Dolan loves to include thousands of his pictures in virtual space, (not UFO pictures but Richard’s portraits.)  Now, in a dramatic prophetic apocalyptic Pseudo-christian website, Richard Dolan deserves these words:
“Richard Dolan is one of the greatest researchers of our generation.  In this presentation, he makes the case for a secret space program, one that likely includes aircraft able to leave the atmosphere and enter space thanks to very advanced propulsion technology among other amazing stuff.”
Yes, it is the same Richard Dolan that wrote about how will be our world “After disclosure”.
In a video as usual full of weird sounds and images that have nothing to do with the theme, Richard Dolan “talks about secret Space Programs, dark science, some nonsense about Irak and class b science fiction fantasies.
This historian and professor of Ufology in some Metaphysical University (ONLINE…)
So what is Richard Dolan’s thesis? “Basically this: It’s all a conspiracy. The entire governmental security apparatus, from the founding of the CIA to compartmentalized information is a result of the government trying to keep a lid on the UFO issue. It’s not that we’ve never heard that, it’s just that Dolan has taken this issue to a new level of detail. He’s even more detailed than Timothy Good. Dolan is strictly a nuts & bolts guy and does not consider alternative hypotheses in the field. Sociological and psychological issues are beside the point to him. “

“So what is the problem? The problem is that Dolan appears to take all evidence at face value. He will quote Morris K. Jessup on an equal basis with Jacques Vallee. He will talk of Gray Barker on the same level as J. Allen Hynek. He puts Philip Corso at the same level as Jerome Clark. In other words, he does not seem to discriminate between sources. He considers them all valid. Rather than sifting through vast amounts of disinformation for the Truth, it’s more like he’s amassing a mound of evidence without regard to its veracity or corroboration. He doesn’t even allude to the possibility that there might be some problems with some of this evidence. The clowns are thrown in with the professors. “
A mistery reminds unsolved. The mistery is why “Richard Dolan is one of the greatest researchers of our generation.  In this presentation, he makes the case for a secret space program, one that likely includes aircraft able to leave the atmosphere and enter space thanks to very advanced propulsion technology among other amazing stuff.” www.Ufowatchdog.com

UFO-ET professional fantasists and Logical Fallacies

We must understand that those who want to make a living talking and writing about fairy-tales, are always confronted by  the total lack of concrete, reliable evidences.
Consequently the self proclaimed experts' rhetoric is full of all kind of logical fallacies.

The Complex Question Fallacy:
Richard Dolan writes:
“Some believe this is as it ought to be. Can the public really handle the truth about aliens?  If the presence of others constitutes a threat to humanity, for example, what could the average person even do about it?”
The question here implies that there is something already known about aliens. The inexpert reader will have the impression that the question is not if there are aliens on our planet or in any other place of the Universe. The fallacy tries to make this pass as a known fact asking the average person if she/he is ready for the “truth”.
If you want to catch the fallacious writer, just ask him this: what truth about aliens?
If the fantasists replies that he is talking about the truth of the ET presence on our planet; you should ask him: Can you show me clear and reliable evidence probing the ET presence in our Earth?
This of course will finish the exchange. Probably you will be insulted and called debunker or troll. They cannot give you a satisfactory answer.
If the illusionist tries to sell you a book, the question must be:
Will I find in this book clear and reliable evidence about the presence of Extraterrestrials in our planet?
If the fallacious speaker says YES, ask him to show you the page where the evidence is clear, reliable and obvious.
He cannot show that evidence. Nobody can, simply because there are no extraterrestrial civilizations visiting our good old Earth.
