Exopolitics is a relatively new discipline that requires support in making the transition from a fringe interest to the mainstream of political life in the US and other countries. This requires serious scholarly study of Exopolitics and publication of material for distribution to policy makers, the media and the general public. Dr.Michael Salla, is very explicit in this text. He recognizes that the so called Exopolitics is, after some years of good intentions,) only a fringe interest, so, this “science” is in the margins, in the periphery, it belongs to the UFO subculture, even if Michael calls it discipline which is “In its original sense a systematic instruction given to disciples to train them as students in a craft or trade, or any other activity which they are supposed to perform, or to follow a particular code of conduct."
Dr. Salla however, doesn’t like this fringe, marginal situation of the Exopolitical discipline. On the contrary, he dreams with the serious scholarly study of Exopolitics and publication of material for distribution to policy makers, the media and the general public.
Dr. Michael Salla is an honest man. He wrote that even those who do not believe in ETs would benefit learning Exopolitics. So this implies that policy makers as President Barak Obama or his challenger Mitt Romney will perhaps include Exopolitics in debates and political propaganda.
After all, the existence or inexistence of extraterrestrials is supplementary and marginal for the Exopoliticians, so try to delete the prefix EXO, and you will have politics as usual.

There are a number of ways you can support the growth of Exopolitics.
Researching and teaching Exopolitics was boosted by the creation of an Exopolitics Institute in July 2005, that specializes in the dissemination of information concerning the political implications of the extraterrestrial presence.

Because of this need of serious disciplined Exopolitics, there is an exopolitical institute where you can learn about the political implications of extraterrestrial presence, IF you have faith enough and believe that the ETs are here, in our planet.
In fact, Exopoliticians will teach you that the political implications of the extraterrestrial presence in a conditional way, and perhaps some disciples will be tormented by the marginal possibility that they are wasting their time and money.
Because of this negative possibility, you must understand that Exopolitics, as Theology, are disciplines justified by the promise of a presence, but never the Presence itself.
In Exopolitics and Theology, you will find people talking about Extraterrestrials or God, but never will you meet with the Divinity of the ETs.
Some skeptics question the possibility of a discipline based on a supposition, and suggest some alternatives as Ghost-politics, of even Santa-politics.
However, I will also make a suggestion: the creation of a discipline called INEXISTENCE-POLITICS whose purpose will be investigation of the impact of inexistence in the media, public, and policy makers.

A number of programs have been created for this purpose. An Exopolitics Certification Program was created in Fall 2006 which now makes it possible for individuals to gain exopolitics training they can use in their professions. Courses in Exopolitics provide the opportunity for interested individuals to familiarize themselves with the issues in a comprehensive scholarly manner.
