My Open Letter to Geri Webre

Mrs. Geri Webre
Dear Geri
I was born in Argentina three years after Jorge Mario Bergoglio, now Pope Francis I.
I knew Father Bergoglio for decades, and his election is the best thing that happened to the Catholic Church in centuries.
I give you my word that Jorge M. Bergoglio was a kind, gentle man deeply compromised with the Argentinian people, the poor, the needed, and also those who fought against the military dictatorship. In fact he saved many lives who would have been killed by the brutal machinery of dictatorial repression.
The campaign of vilification, slandering and defamation of Pope Francis I is built on the worst and most unfounded and infamous lies.
Alfred Webre is giving his time and worst, his name to the man who is responsible for this attempt to assassinate Father Jorge Mario Bergoglio’s personality and good name.
I know your love and benefic influence on Alfred, your husband, and in the name of that love I beg you to talk with him.
This will be good for him and his name now associated with a miserable campaign of defamation against a man who doesn’t deserve the insults and perverse accusations.
Friendly yours

Kevin Annett, Alfred Webre DEFAMATION CAMPAIGN

The basic law of defamation is this one: original lies become bigger and bigger because the Nothing Happens Syndrome is at work here.
The Dynamic Duo keeps talking and finding new fictions. Now the abuses and 9th ritual sacrifices are performed in yates. 9th circle sacrifices are performed in Rome also.
The worst and cheapest tabloid  would not go into this infamy. At the same time, the whole thing is absurd.
I think that it's possible that some loonies, borderline pathological personalities and  criminal elements could send some money to this clown. Also, the slanderous attacks against the Catholic Church could be useful for the zionist-imperialist agenda.

Philae comet lander alien ‘cover-up’ conspiracy theories emerge

Philae comet lander alien ‘cover-up’ conspiracy theories emerge | Science | The Guardian

Probe on cometThe UFO industry must say something about this and you will soon read a few "visions" of the pareidolics: Preferred Items are women sitting in the rocks, alien bases, rabbits, flying saucers and some friends of Andy Basiago.

Since the comet is just two miles big, probably they will not see dinosaurs.

Well...some other armchair scientists and ET life experts will also talk about the cover-up, the disclosure that is just coming.

With this, the "ufologists" will fight their old and between us, invincible enemy. The Nothing Happens Syndrome...NHS. Remember that what these people needs is time. They need believers ...with some money to buy the same UFO book again and again. They need, like the priests, make their clients believe that Jesus is coming back, or the Messiah will soon be sent.

While they talk, Science works in the real world. That is the meaning of the Philae landing.

Big Conspiracy or Cognitive Dissonance?

Self proclaimed UFO experts, historians, contactees pseudo-scientists and mythologists, frequently make reference to ufologists suicides, untimely deaths or mysterious accidents. Of course these tragic events are used to justify the Big Conspiracy theory: the victims knew to much about the real nature of UFOs.and the cover-up took care of them.
However, there are a few things that these people doesn't take into account.
In 1957 the psychologist Leon Festinger proposed the cognitive dissonance theory, which states that a powerful motive to maintain cognitive consistency can give rise to irrational and sometimes maladaptive behavior.
Cognitive dissonance theory tells us that  there is a tendency for individuals to seek consistency among their cognitions (i.e., beliefs, opinions). When there is an inconsistency between attitudes or behaviors, something must change to eliminate the dissonance.
In other words, you cannot believe that extraterrestrial civilizations are visiting our Earth and, at the same time recognize that in the real world we live, there are absolutely no evidences of these invisible, inaudible, undetectable, (imaginary) extraterrestrial visitors.
You cannot recognize the scientific statistics that points to the fact that 96 % of all the UFO sightings are produced by perfectly normal natural and astronomical events or man made artifacts and also talk about a "mysterious phenomenon".
If a UFO expert tells his audience that "UFO sightings are massive in the whole world" while he  is conscious of the 96 percent statistics. Eventually he will experience that peculiar discomfort produced by the awareness of his own lack of consistency. That discomfort sometimes severe, is a manifestation of cognitive dissonance.
In fact, the individual who becomes a professional in the UFO-ET Industry, lives in two different worlds.
In one of these worlds we find his family, his daily life and practical convictions while in the other one he coexists with nonsense, discredited sources, pathological individuals, imaginary conspiracies and extraterrestrial visitors.
This dissociation and the concurrent feeling of cognitive dissonance will inevitably produce irrational behaviour and a growing inadaptability and perhaps conflicts with his social and familiar environment.
If this is so, these personal and social problems should not be attributed to the "Big Conspiracy".
My advice is a serious, sincere and private meeting with ourselves, with our inconsistencies and contradictions. To sell a fantasy world as if it were real is not an easy task.

MAGONIA BLOG on CONSPIRACY

Posted: 11 Nov 2014 07:03 AM PST
Emma A. Jane and Chris Fleming. Modern Conspiracy: The Importance of Being Paranoid. Bloomsbury, 2014.

Andrew May. Conspiracy: A History of the World for Conspiracy Theorists. Bretwalda Books, 2014.

Andy Thomas. Conspiracies: The Facts, The Theories, The Evidence. Watkins Books, 2013.

Joseph E. Uscinski and Joseph M. Parent. American Conspiracy Theories .Oxford University Press, 2014.

In a dangerous and uncertain world it is perhaps not surprising that conspiracy theories develop and grow. These four books present various facets of the theories and their study.

Two of these are academic studies. Jane and Fleming’s book is a social science study of conspiracy theories, but also, unusually, of their critics, such as Daniel Pipes, Richard Thompson and David Aaronovitch., which in some respects present mirror images. Their argument is that even though the specifics of individual theories are often false, or indeed nonsense, their persistence is something worthy of social importance.

Uschinski and Parent trace the history of such theories in America, pointing out that the very foundation of state was based on a conspiracy theory, that of the conspiracy by King George to destroy the liberties of the people. Using letters to the editor of the New York Times and the Chicago Tribune, they examine the development of such theories since the late nineteenth century. The result is an incredibly diverse set of suspected conspirators, covering nine columns and including; Anti-Sacharine men, anti-saloon league, Boers, the Bosnian government, construction workers, Croatian extremists, ice companies, Christian Scientists, Christian scientists, Pacifica Foundation, plumbers, silver interests, Wall Street gamblers and Mozart, not forgetting Filipino friars. They also use polling data to analyse the background of the those who believe in such theories.

On a more popular level, in his small book Andrew May traces the history of conspiracies, real and imagined, showing how far these go back into history; including for example the popish plot, the gunpowder plot, the murder of Edward I, the death of Napoleon etc.

Andy Thomas presents a very much insider view of conspiracy theories, identifying himself with the 'truth seeker community' and taking on many of the usual suspects.

Of course there are conspiracy theories and conspiracy theories. There are real conspiracies, usually be small groups of people and some of the more unpleasant are those undertaken by middle managers of various kinds who think they are going to please their bosses (and instead end up hugely embarrassing them). As Jane and Fleming point out, real life conspiracies are rarely plotted out in advance, rather they are reactions to events, and grow in complexity as attempts to cover up what usually started as cock-ups become more desperate. They take Watergate as an example, but if there is a conspiracy involved in the assassination of John F Kennedy it is likely to be of this character.

Having studied the Kennedy assassination for years, I am no further from knowing whether he was assassinated by a lone assassin Oswald or by what we would now call a terrorist cell, whether of the left or right. My own suspicion is that either way, the thing was known about in advance and the plan was to let it run to the wire, to provide Kennedy, in confidence, with evidence he could use to blackmail Khrushchev into abandoning Castro to the fate that was being planned for him in a few weeks time. Something went horribly wrong and the president really was shot, with the result that loads of people had to do an awful lot of backside covering. Many of the historical conspiracies related by May seem to fall into that category.

Though many of the conspiracies are ancient, the “conspiracy theories” about them are often relatively modern, and often date from the post Kennedy assassination era. Some of the various conspiracy theories surrounding the Lusitania or Pearl Harbour Fall into that category. A typical example might be the various conspiracy theories surrounding “Jack the Ripper”. In reality it isn’t even at all clear that there was a single Whitechapel murderer, the canonical five murders may have had two or three separate culprits, but even if there was just one, he was almost certainly a working class East Ender aged between 25-40, who was probably known to his victims and not perceived as a threat, and certainly not the Duke of Clarence, J. K. Stephen, James Maybrick, Arthur Balfour, Lewis Carroll or Montague Druitt; and probably not one of the “foreign” suspects either, nor someone perceived as so mad as to be incarcerated.

These real conspiracies and 'petty' conspiracy theories are quite separate from full grown mega conspiracy theories. These often involve at the lowest level, huge baroque operations, which would require hundreds of people to be involved. The sheer complexity of faking the moon landing, would, as Jane and Fleming point out, require far more effort, expense and expertise that actually getting people to the moon. Imagine the effort and planning needed to fake all the evidence in the Kennedy assassination, or the fake 9/11, or as they also point out, 'Obama is not American' conspiracy theorists have to end up arguing that Obama’s grandparents must have planned in advance when he was a baby to fake the evidence that would be needed so he could run for president nearly fifty years later!

The step beyond this is the sort of mega-conspiracy theory which argues that all of history is a fraud, that the guardians of society of really its secret enemies, or that all the pain, heartache and suffering in the world is caused by the terrible others. In a sense this must be comforting, to believe that everything that goes wrong is caused by the government or the One-World conspiracy means that there is someone in charge of events, that tragedies are not the result of terrible happenstance.

One of the most important features of such conspiracy theories is that the other is sufficiently like us, that they could be the people next door, or even our own relatives, or indeed ourselves. That is perhaps why Muslim Exteremists are often discounted as the conspirators, they are just too other, too niche, or just too incomprehensible to be good conspirators.

Of course, one cannot help feeling that for most of the people that identify themselves as truth seekers, this is play-paranoia, essentially a form of entertainment on a par with computer games. This certainly seems to be the cases with books like Thomas’s. Does anyone really believe that the Queen is an alien shape shifter for example, or that alien hybrids are planning to take over the world? Surely this, at least, is the stuff of computer games. When the play ends, terror begins. Hitler really believed that the Jews posed a total existential threat and acted on that belief with appalling consequences, and the real fear with conspiracy theories is that someone out there will indeed really believe them.

Paranoia is one of the those words, like fascism which is often banded around promiscuously, not least by people like Aaronovitch or Pipes, to delegitimise anyone who is opposed to the neo-con world view. The real thing can however be truly terrifying.

Truth Seeker is another term which seems to be much overused; one gets the impression that the only truth these people are seeking is one which confirms their own belief systems, which all too often involve Judeophobia, as witness if you enter 'Truthseeker' into Google.

There are of course equally dangers in the blanket repudiation of all talk of conspiracy, I am sure that a year or two ago David Aaronovitch would have assured us that any talk of the police fabricating evidence in the Hillsborough tragedy, conspiring to fit up a cabinet minister, having sex with women in order to infiltrate opposition groups (morally if not legally getting close to rape) was so much nonsense. After all we are British and we don’t do that sort of thing. -- Peter Rogerson.

COVER-UP: Why the Gate must remain Closed

I would like to talk about a problem that confounds those who are already confused. Shockingly enough, I will bless men and women who are directly and indirectly responsible for the maintenance of the so called cover-up.
These are in fact our protectors.
I will digress a little with your permission and go back in time one thousand years and quote the words of a Sephardic Rabbi called Abraham Ysroel Leon, respected by Muslims and  Christians.

He told us that the Angels came to our world under the form of whirlwinds because NOBODY COULD WATCH THEM AS THEY TRULY WERE AND LIVE after this experience.

In the Old Testament and the mystical Qabalah, there are many clear references to this taboo. We cannot contemplate the "Face of God" and survive.
By the way,one of the Highest names of the Divinity in Qabalah is NO, (AIN.)
Blessed are the Guardians of the Gate which must remain closed.
Blessed are those who understand that SOMETIMES  TRUTH WILL NOT MAKE US FREE.
There are some things and entities that should remain forever under the pious veil of Ignorance.
The price to pay for certain knowledge is Madness and Death.

Scientific research about the real nature of the "UFO Phenomenon."

How many UFO sightings are misidentifications of natural phenomena? We include here some serious researches which show that the so called UFO problem doesn't exist, and the UFO industry is NOT telling the truth. More, some self proclaimed UFO experts dont even know these statistics. If they know them, they are not telling the truth to their clients.

The astronomer Allan Hendry found that only 1.5 % of the sightings remained unidentified.

Allan Hendry study
"Like the Air Force, astronomer Allan Hendry found that only a small percentage of cases were hoaxes and that most sightings were actually honest misidentifications of prosaic phenomena. Hendry attributed most of these to inexperience or misperception.
Triangular UFO recognized hoax.
Out of 1,307 cases Hendry deemed 88.6% had clear prosaic explanations (IFOs) and only 8.6% were unknowns (UFOs). Of the UFOs, Hendry reported that 7.1%, might still have a prosaic explanation while 1.5% (20 cases) had no possible plausible explanation and were completely unexplained. The remaining miscellaneous cases (2.8%) were “garbage” cases, where Hendry deemed the witnesses unreliable, the reports hopelessly contradictory, or lacking in sufficient information.
Overall, in the three major categories, 42% of all cases had astronomical explanations, 37% were aircraft, and 5% were balloons. A further breakdown allowed 77% to be readily explained by five main classes of objects: 29% were bright stars or planets, 19% were advertising planes, 15% were other aircraft, 9% were meteors and reentering space debris, and 5% were balloons of various types (mostly weather or advertising balloons but also a few prank balloons)."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Identification_studies_of_UFOs#Allan_Hendry_study

In 2009, Peter Davenport, Director of the National UFO Reporting Center, posted this complaint online:
"We are receiving hundreds of reports every month of normal, terrestrial events, e.g. over-flights of the International Space Station, the Space Shuttle, or satellites; “flares” of light from “Iridium” satellites; the appearance of typical meteors; and observations of normal, “twinkling” stars, planets, contrails, clusters of balloons, etc.  In fact, the overwhelming majority of reports that we receive now are of these normal objects and events, and processing the reports is taking a huge amount of our time... I believe the majority of time I spend on the Hotline is devoted to trying to convince people who have been staring for hours at a star or planet that the object of interest is not a UFO."
From the The National UFO reporting centre NICAP :
WHAT ARE UFOS?
"The world view now varies between the "nuts and bolts" (ET), "earthlights", "plasmas", "time travelers", and "parallel universes". Since the alleged craft sometimes appear to "dematerialize" right in front of the witnesses,
many think UFOs cannot be real physical objects. As amply put by Richard Hall in "Uninvited Guests": "Popular authors have exploited these themes, especially since the ETH (Extraterrestrial Hypothesis) has bogged down for lack of proof, but they remain essentially science fiction notions inaccessible to scientific verification"."

Crop Circles Joke.
http://www.stoa.org.uk/topics/ufo/index.html
"Between 5% and 10% of UFO sightings remain UFOs (ie, unidentified flying objects) after investigation. Most can easily be explained as Chinese lanterns, flocks of birds, balloons, aircraft and meterological phenomena. But why do UFOs have such a hold on the imagination? There are basically two explanations. There is the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis (ETH) which holds that we really are being visited by aliens and there is the Psychosocial Hypothesis (PSH) which sees the whole UFO phenonemna as a form of modern folkore.
This latter view is particularly popular among UFO researchers in the United Kingdom, such as David Clarke, Hilary Evans, the editors of Magonia
magazine and many of the contributors to Fortean Times magazine. It is also popular in France since the publication in 1977 of a book written by Michel Monnerie, Et si les ovnis n'existaient pas? (What if UFOs do not exist?)."
"The psychosocial hypothesis is based on the finding that most UFO reports have mundane explanations like celestial objects, airplane lights, balloons and a host of other misperceived things seen in the sky. This suggests the presence of an unusual emotional climate which distorts observations and the perceived significance and strangeness of merely terrestrial stimuli."

Richard Dolan's myth of the National Security State UFO conspiracy.

In UFOwatchdog, Richard Dolan is defined as a nuts and bolts guy in reference to his book on UFO and the National Security State.

"So what is the thesis? Basically this: It’s all a conspiracy. The entire governmental security apparatus, from the founding of the CIA to compartmentalized information is a result of the government trying to keep a lid on the UFO issue. It’s not that we've never heard that, it’s just that Dolan has taken this issue to a new level of detail. He’s even more detailed than Timothy Good. Dolan is strictly a nuts & bolts guy and does not consider alternative hypotheses in the field. Sociological and psychological issues are beside the point to him. "

So, if there are no psychological and/or sociological issues for him, we should better forget the FACT that 96 % of all the UFO sightings are produced by natural phenomena or man made artifacts. Consequently, we must recognize that the whole cover up is justified only by a 4 % of cases that remain unidentified. Also, delusions and hoaxes must also remain in the backyard. This statistic in itself refutes the theory of the massive cover-up.

" So what is the problem? The problem is that Dolan appears to take all evidence at face value. He will quote Morris K. Jessup on an equal basis with Jacques Vallee. He will talk of Gray Barker on the same level as J. Allen Hynek. He puts Philip Corso at the same level as Jerome Clark. In other words, he does not seem to discriminate between sources. He considers them all valid. Rather than sifting through vast amounts of disinformation for the Truth, it’s more like he’s amassing a mound of evidence without regard to its veracity or corroboration. He doesn't even allude to the possibility that there might be some problems with some of this evidence. The clowns are thrown in with the professors. "

The hypothesis becomes more and more unreliable if we consider that Dolan "doesn't discriminate between sources" The clowns of the Ufological subculture are thrown in with the Professors. If this is so, lack of evidences are not an issue for our self-proclaimed expert.

"Dolan also comes to some dubious conclusions. It’s quite clear he believes James Forrestal was killed for his knowledge that he might spill the beans. And what about Ruppelt’s early death? No one dies of a heart attack at age 37. Hmmm. And James McDonald. Did he commit suicide, really, or was he murdered because he was getting too close to the secrets? This stuff is not corroborated at all. His standards of proof are way too low. This would not be allowed in academia. You wouldn’t be able to get away with this and be considered seriously."

In other words, facts become factoids, and are manipulated in the service of a dubious, unsubstantiated hypothesis. The whole UFO mythology can only be kept alive if we add the inevitable conspiracy theory, and this is nothing but  the same unreliable stuff.
